On February 5, 1895, as the winter winds blew outside, C.J. Hoigaard proudly opened the doors to the C.J. Hoigaard company, a small canvas business in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Hoigaard knew the extreme conditions of Minnesota- from bone chilling cold to sweltering summer heat- demanded the protection of his canvas products.
